EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
If you are interested in volunteering your time, assistance, personal services and/or
equipment during the course of a community emergency, we invite you to join the Weare CERT.
You may do this by printing out the forms below and mailing them to the address at the
bottom of this page. After completing the forms you will need to attend 20 hours of
training. Training, which includes first aid, fire suppression, and search and rescue is
offered at various times of the year and at various places. For more information on the
required training, or to ask any questions,
send email to ![]()
After completion of the training, new members are issued a variety of first-aid and emergency supplies that are useful when responding to emergencies, and will work under the direction of local emergency responders helping provide critical support. Volunteers trained in CERT also offer a potential workforce for performing duties such as shelter support, crowd control, evacuation and a number of other support functions. With so many potential needs, it is important to realize that everyone has the ability to help. From local businesses with resources, to the retired individual who has time available to contact others and ensure their safety, all residents are capable of valuable assistance.
